    2016 - The year of VR porn

    The Playstation VR will be released in the first half of 2016 [LINK].

    I suspect that VR will be the big thing in 2016.

    Its when we will see VR headsets being launched.

    They will be purchased by gamers.

    But this is a good opportunity for porn.

          2016 will definitely be the year of the big breakthrough.. We noticed that currently there are a lot of people that are starting or setting up VR content related projects..

          However I believe that it will really become mainstream not earlier than 2017 or perhaps even in 2018.. It's basically the same as with every electronic revolution (digital printers etc) it first has to become cheaper before the majority of the people pick it up...

          That doesn't mean that you should not start already. It is really good period to "experiment" and you will be 2 steps ahead once it will become mainstream

                                                              It would be a poor assumption to think that the gamers will be the biggest market even out of the gate with VR.

                                                              3D and VR media (including porn) will be about 40% of the market from the start.

                                                              The reason is because of the entry level devices are smartphones. Most of which are going to be getting a speed enhancement in 2016 with quad core GPU's and faster CPU's.

                                                              And a add-on to a smartphone you have, while not preforming as well as a dedicated VR HMD, is less that 1/5th the cost and you can take it with you wherever you go. And both (phones and media) will be most popular with the 20-40 crowd.

                                                              Netflix,hulu are some of the many with offerings from the start.

                                                              As it is now, it may be 3 years or 3 generations of products before we achieve the badly needed standards for formats.
                                                              Till then, much more work to keep the masses happy.

                                                              Perfect opportunity for anyone to get a leg up on a new industry.
