Seems like I read something about that.
The Nazi's were having trouble in a village of one of the countries they occupied during the war and the people were killing Nazi soldiers in acts of what we now call "terrorism" (sound familiar?)
What I read was that the Nazi's rounded up everyone in the village in a circle and started shooting them until the people identified the "terrorists".
So yeah, it is very brutal. But probably the only way to fight brutality is with even greater brutality.
It definitely worked for the Nazi's in that situation.
Just like the Nazi's...we have no business invading and occupying other countries. But now that the U.S. has done so I think it's become pretty clear that trying to play "nice" isn't gonna work.
We should get the hell out of there and never do this again.
And if not....then the military should go full on nasty and take a page from the Nazi's book on how to control "terrorism".-Robbie

The U.S. didn't do that in Vietnam. Instead we bombed and bombed and bombed and occupied their country.
As for the Nazi's. Yes it did work. The attacks on their troops by the locals were stopped.
They lost the war to the Allied Forces, not the locals who were using early versions of IED's and ambushing them.
As for the U.S. Federal Govt.'s international policies...you have no argument from me there.
The people here in the U.S. aren't the problem. It's the lifetime/career politicians who run our govt. and are hand in hand with big military defense contractors. It's all about money and power to them.
In my opinion we should bring all of our troops home and leave the people of the world alone.
If a country attacks us, THEN we attack back...win, then get the fuck out of their country.
Occupying other countries is illegal, morally wrong, and has cost our country dearly in human lives.-Robbie

I don't know if you guys have ever been in a real war before, one that you KNOW you are going to lose, you just don't know how long it will last or how bad it will be...
the point I am trying to make is that you give up on hope, life, future plans ect ect and you pretty much expect it to last for decades...its pretty much the situation anybody who is fighting the USA is in...
the interesting thing is you actually stop caring about life and you try to "cheat" your destiny by planning to take as many of the enemy with you as possible...at no point in time do you even consider doing what the enemy wants...
the people of vietnam are a great example...after 20 years of terrorism from the USA they went right back to being communists...
it frightens me that some people in the USA do not understand this...that they think there is even an atom of a chance that somebody will do as the USA says...reverse the roles and try to imagine the USA was invaded and occupied by north korea (just for arguments sake)...would you ever consider surrender? probably not...how about when they start murdering families and women and children out of retaliation?...
trump is so out of touch with reality, and the people who follow him are insane if they think that anybody will surrender to terrorists...
I mean the terrorists are already killing your women and children and families, are you even considering joining the islamic caliphate?
