it is football man. foot and ball, because you are trying to kick the ball with your foot. soccer is just american word, because you have your american football, but american football is rugby just for kids to not have any injuries so all the players can stay nice all the season ... but it is not football, there is nothing about foot and ball, more football is basketball, because there is at least a ball, and not an egg ...

On that note - I was watching BBC and news chick said "soccer", I was like WTF, is that some kind of American BBC or something.
Then the second time few minutes later they called it properly (do not remember if it was the same news chick or news dude).
That was during Paris bombings and some football match in Germany or something.Comment
