What I saw didnt have anything to do with click bait, chat bots, scamming people, cross sells, stealing content, banging credit cards, or installing adware on people's computers.

I'm with Fuzebox on the sharing stats thing. It would have to be so detailed to make any sense. Like $xxx,xxx might sound like a lot of money for a day, but then you look at the cost of that revenue or how many months of work were necessary to get to that payday and it all gets very apples to oranges.
