I've always loved James Bond... When I was a kid we were the first ones to have a VCR on our block, the top loading kind, and every time a James Bond movie was on we would record it.... I grew up watching James Bond over and over again.
I saw the movie last night and it was awesome. Some of it was a bit over the top but you have to expect that with James Bond.
What I don't understand is why haven't they spun off another 00 agent...Herschel Savage

Yep. Saw it at the drive-in when I was a wee little tyke.
I enjoy the new Bond movies, but Bond forever changed at the time Pierce Brosnan took over. No fault of his, he played the role well. However, the franchise moved away from it's high class debonair espionage super kick-ass bad guy with even better Bond girl names roots, and shifted to big blockbuster Hollywood can we make this next explosion bigger than the last, cookie cutter franchise featuring more plot twists than Fight Club, and pedestrian villains at best.
Now with Daniel Craig, it's hard for me to even say it's a "Bond" film. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy them, but I enjoy them for what they are now, Hollywood action films like the Bourne franchise, Mission Impossible, or any other shoot'em up action flick that's mindless and meaningless...but entertaining as all fuck.
