Sinai plane crash: 'External influence' caused crash - BBC News

The Russian airline Kogalymavia has blamed "external influence" for Saturday's Sinai plane crash which killed 224 people.
A senior airline official said: "The only reasonable explanation is that it was [due to] external influence."
An investigation by aviation experts using data from the aircraft's "black boxes" has yet to give its conclusions.

That means it could be a bomb. The ISIS animals have no air defense systems that can shot down the plane at that high attitude, but they can bring a bomb in their baggage. I don't think the Egyptian airport security is as strict as the 1st world ones.

Personally I can't accept any version while the official investigation is not complete.

Plane had a tail strike before:
Doomed Russian jet that crashed in Egypt suffered 'tail strike' in 2001 - The Economic Times

there is another case where a plane broke apart 22 years later because of that:

and the tail in this case was found closest to the airport, means it broke off first

that would be a viable, non-terrorist explanation

It's cool that GFY experts know how and why it happened. But I'm not that smart, so I'll be waiting for the investigation results. When Pan Am Flight 103 was blown up by a bomb left by a Libyan terrorist, it took about 3 years to find out the truth.

I am no expert, but I don't see any obvious fire damage. From the crash pictures I have seen: that plane looks like it was twisted and shredded mid-flight. Strange indeed...

Since there is an active (criminal negligence?) investigation of this airline in Russia any statement that they make may well be influenced by that

It could be a simple explanation of metal fatigue or it could be sabotage ...

haha! the question is...can you trust an official investigation coming from egypt or putin?

i will be suprised if they say its a bomb, even if it was. too much politics is flying around this plane, & the bad tail theory has just enough merit to placate the masses.

Your first clue, should be "Russians" said this.. The second clue should be to know that "Russians" can never accept blame for anything.. No matter what it is, what happened.. It's never their fault they always blame something or someone else..

At least in the Ukraine downing, there was picture evidence of the BUK system being there then being hurried away the day of the shoot down.. IS has zero proof and we all know those idiots video tape everything for their propaganda vids.. If they were going to shoot down an airliner, they damn sure would of video taped it..

Metro jet is a Russian company and they ooperate the jet. aercap is a leasing company.. Aercap had nothing at all to do with maintaing the jet or operating it that falls to the operator of the jet MetroJet.

Aercap is just the title holder.. Is this how Russian media is trying to spin the crash as not being A Russian companies responsibility?

That's like saying Ford is responsible for you being drunk and running your leased car into a tree..

i'm just state of the art bro. i can already tell you the results from the pros. they will say exactly what they did during flight 800 - it exploded, & we have unusual ideas why, but not definitive. You really think egypt is gonna give european snoops the truth about their airport security? or russia will tell them how well the plane was maintained? with political agendas in play, whatever the truth is will be impossible to definitively place.
