News Trump Picks Top Climate Skeptic to Lead EPA Transition

This is a credible source and this is one thing about Trump that I really worried about. it's been in the 60's all week in Iowa and warmer than normal everywhere else.

    From: Scientific American

Donald Trump has selected one of the best-known climate skeptics to lead his U.S. EPA transition team, according to two sources close to the campaign.
Myron Ebell, director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute, is spearheading Trump?s transition plans for EPA, the sources said.
The Trump team has also lined up leaders for its Energy Department and Interior Department teams. Republican energy lobbyist Mike McKenna is heading the DOE team; former Interior Department solicitor David Bernhardt is leading the effort for that agency, according to sources close to the campaign.

      It can't be ignored.

America Has Never Seen a Hot Weather Outlook Like This
For the first time, forecast predicts hotter-than-normal in every square inch of the USA

I think if Elon Musk can continue to push his agenda we will be alright but renewables still need some of their subsidies to get underway.

It can't be denied. 2 vehicles from now, my main vehicle will be an electric car.

I believe in humanity and in progress, I like to think I'll begin to see the colonization of Mars toward the end of my lifespan.

Conservatives are always putting foxes in the henhouse. Like putting a bible thumping creationist in charge of a science department.

What did you expect -- enlightenment?

If we are lucky this is cyclical but that does not matter if we perish during the cycle. The Sphinx raises questions about cycles of civilization.

Maybe, it's a bunch of conjecture and bullshit?

It has been warm here too. Reducing mans carbon footprint makes sense but more for other reasons such as clean air and a livable environment.

There is a new development of catalytic and photovoltaic conversion of CO2 into ethanol -- a fuel that burns relatively clean into steam and CO2 that can be reused -- perpetual motion. This would make CO2 recycling a better alternative (if it can be scaled out). This also might allow chemical storage of electricity from sunlight that could be burned during the dark hours changed back into electricity and sent into the grid.

Technology will guarantee America's greatness not reverting back to some embellished past glory. A Luddite fantasy from a bygone era -- or the theological scientific explanation of the above picture.

Republicans, there is no cure for their stupidity.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.
