I knew the story was b.s. when she got to the part where she didn't take a couple of hours getting a shower, shaving her shit, and getting her makeup on.

Then the story went all the way down, when she claimed that after she made $800 she was ready to go.

She is definitely not in the category of girls who make $800 at the club. Not even close.

Plus anyone who has ever worked in the strip club side of the adult industry can flat tell you that "No"...girls don't just drive in to town and start working at the club in the top time slots. The other girls would mutiny.

There is ALWAYS a set schedule. The top girls at the club get the prime time hours.
And you don't just make $800 and "decide" to go home. No way. Businesses don't run like that.

What would really happen: That non-descript cute girl would walk in. The manager would tell her to come back during the day when there's not much going on and he would audition her onstage and then let her know. Then she would get to come to work during the slow part of the day (since she's new).
Plus, the clubs these days are demanding "tip-out" at the beginning of the shift in a lot of clubs. So you have to shell out a hundred bucks or more each night when you walk in at some of the top clubs just to START working.

That story was definitely written by a guy (not a girl) who has been to strip clubs but has no idea on how they really work.

Actually that is not true. Around here at 4 of the 5 area clubs, some of those things happen. You can leave early if you pay a fee to do so. If they are desperate for girls on particular nights, "freelancers" can call the club and come in. Some also have open auditions where people can just show up and work that night. I know 2 of the club owners personally, so it's more than just my observation in that regard.

Now, all of this being said, I would concede in places like Miami or Vegas where there is no shortage of women or strippers, this may not be the case. But in other areas of the country, it is very much possible for freelancers to pop in this way. Especially on open auditions and amateur nights. Depending on the time of year, often times clubs will need more dancers and be willing to take on some of these floaters.
