Course not. PNG is a lossless format which uses deflate compression. So the only way to reduce its size is to reduce the number of colors (alter the original image).

Pretty neat tool. I've been using a WordPress plugin to compress all my images. This tool looks promising.

I just randomly stumbled upon it. Most of my sites are css3 now. But i have some that are presentation style with large png images.

Going from 800kb to 200kb is a huge difference.

                          Yep mine were almost exact.

give it a try. You will be surprised. To the eye they are almost perfect in my opinion. And this is me staring at it as a crazy perfectionist designer.

Nobody wants it for the continuous security flaws.
Better spend more time/effort picking a new format.

you are mistaken, there are number of tools that optimize the deflate algorithm to generate smaller size 100% losslessly, for example:

You can have the same colors when compressing a PNG. If you use high compression, GIMP for example, you get a smaller file that takes longer to create. If you use low compression, you get a bigger file that's quicker to create. You'll get the same PNG in the end, though.

BUT saving as 8/16/32bit makes a difference with the colors used.
