Anyone been playing Star wars Battlefront Beta ??

Must say I have been impressed so far. Graphics look sharp and seems to play really well. And online is basically COD but set in the Star Wars Universe, which can only be a good thing. Especially since I won'the be buying COD this year anyway.

Will definitely be buying when released next month !!

I played a shit ton of it. Burnt myself out on the big snow map. I agree the graphics are really good. However... it's not quite like COD. It's more like Battlefield... In fact.. it IS battlefield.. with a star wars skin. It will go over really really well for star wars fans. but it won't sustain very long for battlefield fans.

Now about COD. Oddly enough, I'm stoked about this new COD coming out. I played the Beta for it a couple weeks ago and it renewed my interest for COD. I missed the last couple installments because I heard nothing but bad things about them. This beta was a lot of fun and I'm definitely buying the game when it releases. Battlefront... I'll only be getting it if one of my youtube buddies gets me a free code.

That there is my opinion on it all.

I played for a few hours and put in my pre-order. Is it still going? I thought the open beta closed down on Monday, so I haven't bothered logging in to play.

I missed the Beta on the new one. But to be honest the last version put me off altogether. I used to spend hours on COD. But after playing a couple of games I would always get bored and frustrated at it. So I would leave it a few weeks. Go back to it. Play a couple of games then still feel the same way.
So I will be avoiding this one and taking a year out. Even though yes the Star Wars game is similar online in many ways...

Slightly off topic but I played this in the arcade a couple of days ago. Graphically stunning but not much in the way of game play. Was fun sitting in the pod though since you are surrounded but the screen with that booming sound aswell.

Played the Battlefront Star Wars beta and I must say graphic and sound wise it's one of the best games ever.

Don't think I ever played a game so realistic, I mean it's very very sharp.

But pc requirements are way buffed, don't need all that power.

So if you sitting on a high end pc from a couple of years back you will still be good 100%.

I was even considering not trying it cause of the minimum and recommended requirements.

Just a shame they don't offer a real 1 player story campaign. Then it would be a sure buy, but I'll still get it even without the story.

By the way, loved sitting in that walker harassing other players.

Only disappointment for me is the air fights, I never really got a hang of it during the beta, I had so much trouble navigating and trying to blast the ground in the hoth scenario. Might be different on a pure air dog fight scenario though.

I hope they will make the air fights more user friendly.

I played on Xbox One and PC. PC has the sharper graphics and easier control. Xbox had the cool factor of laying in bed with the sound cranked through my Bose headphones on a 55" display.

I'll most likely order the PC version.
