A denali of what? Moscow has the most expensive cost of living in Russia which includes the food coasts and other things. E.g. I pay about 30 rubles for a cubic meter of clean water while other regions pay less. Some pay about 2x times less (e.g 14 rubles for a cubic meter). Do you think that Auchan in Volgograd is somehow different to Auchan in Moscow or to Auchan in Krasnodar or to Auchan in Saint Petersburg? Go compare the product range and prices in the different places of Russia.

Course the prices, salaries and the average level of life is different in Moscow and other parts of Russia. The salaries in Moscow are higher than anywhere else, but the cost of living here is higher too.

I must admit I had some pretty preconceived notions of what I expected some other countries to be like. In the past few years I was able to travel to Budapest and Prague, and I was surprised at what I saw. I thought I was traveling "behind the iron curtain". And what I found was.... Not really much different from what we have in the United States. I half expected to walk into stores and see shelves "mostly empty" and I saw just the opposite.

The grocery stores are same almost everywhere and you won't find any empty shelves in the EU, UAE, Turkey, Australia, Russia, Japan or even in China. Course the assortment could be a bit different because different nations have different gastronomic preferences, but not different too much.

Hint: if you have enough money and looking for a real cool night life, Prague and Budapest are not the option. Those are slightly boring. Go to Moscow and you'll see what I'm talking about :pimp

Lmao. You live in a bubble if you truly believed that before you travelled to those cities.

This thread and others like it are the problem.

We fought the Cold War. It's over. As someone who was there and gave four years of my life to defeat Communism, I don't know of any reason now, at all, why the US and the Russians need to be antagonists, nor any reason why they should not be allies. Pollitically, militarily, and porn-wise.

You'd think that porn is one of the places where bridges can be built. Some excellent content is made in Russia - with some incredible performers. As a well-known adult lawyer and friend of mine says, a blowjob is the same in any language. If the Russians started using sets and sites that looked "American" in their videos and overcame some cultural stuff that makes some of it stick out as foreign, they could make far more serious coin here than they do. American partners can help them for everyone's advantage and I think that they can help us, too.

This instrument of the American adult industry (and its participants) ought to be aiming at bringing people together rather than cheap shots aimed at a consumer economy that is still in recovery from communism.

Don't take it so seriously - CyberSEO is a world class troll - The only agenda he is pushing is the one in his sig...

People, including me, play along because it's interesting to debate these things - The Cold War on GFY is a myth.....

Everybody says that. On the English-speaking boards I'm an American heater and Putin's ass-kisser. On the Russian-speaking boards I'm a Putin's hater and a traitor of Russia. That's very amusing actually :)

I have known for a long time you are not a Putin fan - I never play that card...

I am surprised about your food market lighting knowledge. If you want I can tell all about the lighting requirements of organic hardware stores here in Finland. There has to be enough light, but just enough so that it is still environmental friendly (I guess that in Russia it isn't that important, the environment part). I am quite expert in organic hardware too; I have diplomas from both the Organic Hardware Institution of Helsinki and from the Great Putinized Organic Hardware School of Saint Petersburg. Not that I would like to brag about it.

The daylight energy-saving lamps are always environment-friendly. Whey can also be used to grow vegetables in a closed room. As I said in other thread, incandescent lamps (those you can see at the OP's post) with a power > 25W are banned in Russia. They are not allowed for sale here.

Yeah go to Moscow, spark up a joint and enjoy all the excitement of a police officer extorting you for money and then kicking you in the face. Prague and Budapest have some of the best nightlife scenes. Its just more of an alternative scene. If you want silicon tits, mafia, and shit music Moscow may be the place for you :D

What??? I'm not a junkie like you and I don't take drugs. If you want to shit into your brain, it's your choice. Do never suggest that to the normal people. That's just a friendly advice.

P.S. Police don't beat junkies but regular citizens can easily do some "make up" for your face for a drug trafficking.

You may be right from a profit perspective - but part of the charm (for lack of a better term) of Russian content is the 'foreign' feel of it - the fugly/cheesy wallpaper and neo-70s indoor decor, etc. To me, it almost seems like a branding technique.

"Looking American" isn't necessarily a good goal - since a lot of people I hear from say the western porn all tends to look cookie-cutter and overly-formulated. Using a mansion in the Hollywood hills with minimalistic/designer furnishings, a scenic view and an infinity pool tends to become cliche and tiresome.

I don't know if "overcoming cultural stuff" is such a good thing - it would take away from it's unique flavour. Perhaps modifying it slightly to update with new motiffs and styles (in a foreign sense) would be better - but I wouldn't want to see Russians (or other foreign production) merely clone the 'Americanized' style just for profit. I think there's a fascination for looking at something that obviously looks foreign...while at the same time recognizing and identifying we all have fundamental commonalities in the sexual aspects of the depiction.

I'll tell you. The people of both countries are very similar (much more similar that you can even guess) and they think they have some special mission. That's not a joke. That's a reality and that's a core of problem. There is no other nation on our planet that has such global ambitions like the United States and Russia. Sad but true...

Do you drink alcohol? If so then by your definition you're a junkie too :D

This picture is pretty much a picture of a big standard Moscow supermarket, such as Auchan or Nash. Maybe a bit better. But these fruits from US supermarkets are unedible anyway, soap-like. And it become better in recent few months, even lampreys, oysters and fresh sturgeon (sterlet) could be easiliy found now for acceptable price, along with a few kinds of sea and freshwater salmon.

So moscow has a super market... but hey moscow is the center of the universe. Typical backwards commie thinking.

"There is no one out there starving in russia! We have plenty of bread and food in Moscow!"

Do you have a brain?

Um your system is run by a dictator and your entire industries ruled by oligarchs. Stop trying to convince yourself you are western.

You are still in the commie fog. Talk to me in 20 years and then if youre lucky you can say you are similar.

Right now russia is like a goat farmer that for the first time is allowed to own a cow. Ya you may have got a new cow. Ya you may believe your cow is impressive. But at the end of the day deep down you are still just a peasant with a new cow. You are not the same. Youre a backwards peasant. Dont ever forget that.

Mind you, it's not some soap-tasting genetically modified crap you used to see in your supermarkets, it's mostly natural stuff with very short shelf life.
You might have seen food like this in overpriced 'organic' shops, though I'm not sure about it.
Now think about the lunch you had today. A burger with fries? Some shitty pizza made from unsold stuff from the grocery next door?
And think if you envy me :321GFY

Да че ты с дебилом-то разговариваешь. Он же думает у нас тут в Москве люди голодают и дерутся за воду. Он думает, что у нас тут реально талоны на ГМО "еду", как в америке. Я даже не знаю, смеяться или плакать )))))

MetaMan, you are a complete imbecile. That's official now.

All that shows me is that you guys have to overpay for Swiss Cheese. Also, it looks like Russians have to step up your bread game. I'm not even sure if you can call that bread :D
