Yup with Indiana winters I take a 1000 mg Vitamin C tablet everyday in the winter. When I sometimes get too busy with life and forget, if you take Vitamin C right when you feel a cold coming on it will zap it really quick

The point I am making is I was able to work and also enjoy the weekend outdoors within 24 hours. Also I was back to smoking huge Bob Marley joints within 48 hours. It may be true the illness did not pass faster but I sure as hell felt better. I have been taking this combo for years and it never lets me down. I also buy those huge fresh squeezed bottles orange juices from Whole Foods and drink them like water. All the fresh OJ and the tablets give me a super dose of Vitamin C. The elderberry extract zapped my sore throat.

I wish my colds only lasted a few days but I think colds in places like Indiana are worse cause it's so cold. My colds if I don't take doses of Vit C last 10-14 days sometimes.

A little flu never stopped me from doing anything, but I must admit the congestion SUCKS. Hate not being able to breathe at 100%.

A Vicks inhaler solves all that for me though. The old "drink lots of liquids" remedy generally helps me get rid of it in a couple of days.
