The Philippines, I love it there, the people are so happy everywhere, even the ones starving still have smiles on their faces. And they treat you like gold because your from America. Aside from that it's always warm and the beaches etc. are great, crystal clear water etc.Comment

Egypt.. for a lot of reasons but i suppose the most useless explanation was the metal detector at the airport.. thing goes off, no metal but nipple rings which they can see on the scanner (never has tripped before, so they have some serious detection). So the man grabs my nipple. i wince and pull back, everyone grabs guns, i pull my shirt up and everyone with guns starts pissing themselves laughingComment

I've been to 12 different countries.
I went to Switzerland when I was a kid and would love to go back again so I can explore the country as an adult. But the one country that stands out the most was England. I am a huge WWII buff and I feel like I've read so much about England and it was EXACTLY what I had expected. My first trip I was there completely by myself and did exactly what I wanted in London, and the second time I was at the Dating Factory UK office in Somerset in the country which was unique - when you go to a foreign country you tend to say in hotels and do the tourist things and don't see the real country and how the citizens live; During my second trip to the UK I stayed in a (very small) hotel, but also spent a lot of time in people's houses and even visited a local school which was interesting.
The country I want to see the most is Italy. I am a huge WWII buff, so Germany and France rank up there too.Herschel Savage

No particular city - I do love Christchurch though - It's terrible what happened...
I lived in Dunedin for a few years - It has a bad rep, but is actually great if you stay for a while and get into the culture of the place.....
The South Island in general is stunning - You will never forget the sight of the fjords on the west coast - Incredible...Comment

The Greek Islands. When I stand on the cliffs and look out into the ocean I can understand how they ancient Greeks came up with all of those myths. Also the nude volleyball on the beach was a lovely time. Also the produce grown in that soil from volcanic ash tasted like nothing I have ever eaten.
Also I am happy that I travelled many of the goat fucker countries before 9/11. I got to the city of Petra in Jordan that was carved out of the mountainsides thousands of years ago.Comment

It's a great place.... probably the most modern, well designed, well planned, presented and cleanest city/state in the world. It's also very small, extremely expensive. and populated by people who are obsessed with their smart phones. Spend any time on the SG metro and you're more likely to see someone's face as reflection in their smart phone than you are by looking at them

I was in Boracay in March. And yes I have to agree, the Philippines tops the list of one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. But Boracay is a bit touristy. If you're planning a trip to the Philippines, you need to go to the island of Palawan and visit El Nido. It is absolutely stunning. And yes, it really does look like this picture. Even better.

That does look beautiful and that's definitely a part of the world I want to visit.
If you do visit the Philippines, you might also want to make time for Myanmar. Myanmar is still very culturally intact, meaning not yet overly influenced by outside culture and business. It is under a military dictatorship however and you should do your research and know what you're getting into. But it is a beautiful and fascinating place.

I didn't look into the expenses of living there, but I will say there are a lot of very poor people there. Nothing we did was expensive by any means and nice accommodations were very reasonable. Know that most places don't accept electronic payments so you need the Myanmar currency, but they will happily accept US dollars in most places. One caveat, your US bills have to be in pristine condition. No folds, tears, marks, blemishes of any kind. They must literally be in mint condition or they won't take your money. Larger bills preferred.
Until the last 5 years or so, you were required to be accompanied by a "guide" when visiting Myanmar. This is no longer the case, but know you will be watched everywhere you go. It isn't a creepy thing and I think the governments biggest concern is what the locals might tell YOU and not the other way around. The people of Myanmar were very nice and many wanted to practice their English with us and ask questions about America. Seriously do some research before going so that you can adequately appreciate what you experience there.

Most beautifull the Philippines, Palawan being the best part imho. Waking up here in the morning is just amazing. Small reef in front, mantas, turtles, just amazing.
Most impressive, Cambodia. Loved that country. Followed by Vietnam.
Best experience, eye to eye with a wild Orang Utan in Borneo jungle.
Most relaxed, Nicaragua. Traveled around there this year with the wifey and our 3 year old. Very nice people and helpfull.
Damn I love traveling
Thinking about Laos for the next trip allthough Myamar sounds great too.

I stayed at this hotel when I was in Singapore, it's amazing but this view in this photo is very rare if I am being honest. It's very hazy up there, most likely the smog. I loved Singapore, one of the cleanest Cities I ever been too but I wouldn't say it is the best place in Asia let alone the World.
I liked Dubai more than Singapore, weather is better, the city is easier to get around and there is a lot more things to do.
My fav place in the world is Bali, so far. It is absolutely beautiful with the best beaches I ever saw. Food is amazing and very cheap, high end beach bars all along the coast and some of the biggest DJs come to play at them at high season. There is a ton of stuff to do, you can get a driver for the entire day for $60, he will take you all around to see/do as much as you want.Comment

I went to Seminyak as my base but we really travelled around the whole Island, was amazing.
I love your photos on FB when you are travelling, you guys go to some great places but I can tell our ideas of a vacation are very different lol. Angie and I are going to Thailand this Christmas & New Year, doing Island hopping etc, should be a bit different for us
