I'd love a flat tax rate for everyone. What if everyone paid the same rate - regardless of what you earn? Let's say 20%...wouldn't we all have more of our own money to stimulate the economy with?

If I kept 80% of my income, instead of paying 30-40%, then I'd have more money to buy dumb shit.

A flat tax for EVERYONE would be great.

This means that the average family would pay less in taxes. However, it means the rich would pay a lot more taxes because there wouldn't be any loopholes. But of course there will be massive loopholes; There always is.

You probably should read the plan then.

That is the way to go if you want to have quality society and promote success and hard work. Instead of punishing hard workers by charging them higher income tax percentages.

The most ironic thing about Trump, is he keeps saying lets make America great again.. What he fails to include, is that during the times he thinks Anerica was "great", taxes were very high and businesses/industry were heavily regulated. This is in 100% disagreement with the typical Republican mindset, but I guess people just like catchy slogans vs what reality was..

The Atlantic just did an article on that very subject and it's kinda funny. Because all these retards jumping on his make America great bandwagon, do t seem to realize what America was at that time..
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Well it is not ironic at all. Couldn't it simply be that at those times it was easier for America to be great (even with higher taxes). Nowadays (due to globalization and jobs overseas and other reasons) it is not that easy to be of the same greatness with higher taxes. So lowering should help that.
Think more... Instead of ignorantly comparing 2 very different timelines (as already mentioned - completely different times)...

Seriously he can't make it worse than it is today.

We need some new ideas and a new way of thinking, but that depends how much power and influence he gets IF he comes into office and the rest of the backscratchers needs to be out of the way.

I'm afraid there are 3 parts that has more power than the president at certain times.

The foul bureaucratic stench of the congress and senate.

Oh and lobbyists as far as the eye can see throwing money at whatever suits them.

The banks who screws up over and over and still gets saved.

Think how many looked forward to seeing Barack Obama as president in 2008. LOL

How many of those have massive raging regrets today?

I can't stand the guy anymore just be gone already. I never seen a bigger puppet than him.

To do that, he will need the help of Congress, including all of the Republicans he's pissed off.

                            Good luck!

The article I read this morning said he was going to lower the top tax rate from 39% to 25%, and then lower taxes for the middle class as well. I am assuming he will lower the tax for the poor too.

Here is the catch.... You think the rich pay 39% tax currently? LOL. You think the rich will be 25%? You crack me up. The rich don't pay taxes. Instead they pay accountants to ensure they don't pay taxes.

While I am all for lower taxes, this is another pipe dream.

He wants to lower taxes across the board and has some ideas on raising other taxes and cutting loopholes. Great. He also wants to build a wall between us and Mexico, increase the size of the military and has promised to keep social security and medicare going not to mention he wants to replace Obamacare with something better. All of these things cost money. So where are the cuts going to come from?

No, they don't. This is why Warren Buffet pays less in taxes than his secretary. They might be taxed at a higher rate, but they have more loopholes. You see, his secretary makes $x per year and has a certain percentage of taxes taken out. But Warren Buffet pays for her company car, and writes that off as an expense. Same thing with his limo and his limo driver. When your car breaks down you pay to fix it. When Warren Buffet's secretary's car breaks down, it's a business expense he'll write off.

You forgot to mention that the secretary happens to get many untaxed benefits... company car... health care... 401k... education... social security contributions by employer... unemployment insurance paid... stock options... various other perks, like discounts on employer's products... free phone service... etc...

it's not uncommon for an employee to get almost as much in untaxed benefits as they get in actual salary...

That is completely different thing, you compare someone who owns a business and someone on a simple salary.

Not to mention that paying for company car is expenses. You do not pay for the car and pay just a fraction of that amount (that you would pay for company car) to taxes. So it even turns out better in terms of less expenses (eg instead of 100% he spends on the car, you would spend 27% or whatever you tax bracket is).

Get smart and compare adequate situations next time.

If I kept 80% of my income, instead of paying 30-40%, then I'd have more money to buy dumb shit.
20% of $25000 is a lot when you're trying to make ends meet. So I can see why someone under that level shouldn't be paying taxes. It just makes more sense.

If it makes sense, it will never happen, but we can hope!
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

Here is the catch.... You think the rich pay 39% tax currently? LOL. You think the rich will be 25%? You crack me up. The rich don't pay taxes. Instead they pay accountants to ensure they don't pay taxes.
Again you spout off with half information. Just read the plan and then talk about it. He isn't lowering taxes for the poor, he is eliminating it for those single and making under $25k and couples under $50k a year. And also eliminating all capital gains for those people as well.

The only people that crack me up is people like you, who barely skim a report or his part of a clip on the radio, then go off full cocked like they were educated on something. Your views and options of a topic are your own, and while I may disagree on some, and not others, its your low information spouting off that makes me laugh. Its just lazy, or trolling.

IMO this is less likely to get passed than the building of the wall. I hate the can't do attitude of government. And until the people hold their own congressman or senators accountable, it will always be this way.

If the people wanted a tax plan like this, the could get it done after one election cycle when they kick out their rep that didn't go along with it and support the will of the people. The only thing that scares these people more than K street money going dry, is the prospect of losing their job.

Nowadays (due to globalization and jobs overseas and other reasons) it is not that easy to be of the same greatness with higher taxes. So lowering should help that.

He keeps saying "I'm going to make our country great again". LOL - Is our country not already great? Do we need to build a wall to keep people in? "I'm going to make our military strong again". Is our military not strong?

My favorite one is "I'm going to put people back to work again". Seems Trumpster there hasn't looked at our unemployment rate recently.

No matter what subject he is talking about he says the same thing. "I love our military, our military loves me". No, it doesn't. Trump has never served in our military, has no connection to our military, and has zero history with them. "Vets, I love our Vets, they love me. I'm gong to fix the VA". Our Vets do not love him, he has nothing to do with our Vets, and he has no plan to fix the VA. No matter what group he is asked about he says "I love them" and "they love me" and then he says "I'm going to fix their problem" without ever revealing a real plan.

                                                              Same old shit.

I can honestly say I hope he is elected - he would be the most entertaining president we'll ever have.

So he is lowering taxes for most and eliminating taxes for the lowest brackets.

The average median income per household in the US is $50,500. A lot of people will not be paying taxes under Trump's plan. The rest of us will pay less taxes. Do the math - the IRS will take in A LOT less money. Federal services will be cut across the board, and the deficit will instantly double or triple or worse.

"I'm going to make our military strong again" while slashing taxes. It just doesn't work this way.

Just point out you run your mouth a lot when you have not read or researched the topic you spout off on. At the top you chided him for not giving the lower and middle class lower taxes, and just that of the rich. Now you are bitching he is giving the poor and middle class lower to no taxes.

Then you bitch about him not saying details. And then totally ignore his policy papers on immigration, 2nd amendment and today on taxes. You might disagree with his plans, and that is totally fine, and your right to vote accordingly. But don't be disingenuous and say he has no plans. He has far more detailed plans in the public right now than any candidate. But then again I know you don't actually know that because you base everything you know off 30 second blips on the radio or background in the news, then run your mouth like you know all the ins and out of everything. Not just politics, everything.

Roughly 45% of American households will not owe any federal income taxes this year under the existing tax code, according to Tax Policy Center estimates. Trump said his plan will ensure a slightly larger share -- more than 50% of households -- pay no federal income tax.
