- If you want to blame a 'tube owner' for the downfall of paid porn, you ought to look at YouTube, it did far more damage and laid the groundwork for all the rest by teaching people not to pay for content.
There was money to be made under the old model, there is money to be made under the current model, and there will be money to be made under the next model. The model changes... and it gets changed mostly by external forces (like Google), get used to it.

It's hard to estimate because any one variable being off makes a big difference at that scale. I suspect the ctr was the difference.
Ok, per him and taking him at his word then it made about $1.8 million. Even then....
Facts are facts. Ctr was higher before those style of tubes and ratios were better. Again, facts are facts. Math does not lie by itself.
As for YT, they don't allow 30 minute porn videos.
There is money to be made in my couch as well by finding spare change so that people can still make some money isn't really saying much... But again facts are facts. Math is math. It needs no approval from a bro. A lot of us see it for ourselves. Others see it just by looking around at the industry.
If I'm off then I'm not off by enough where my point still isn't valid. He just admitted he made about $1.8 million from those views.

Well, I believe people would still be looking for porn if people weren't giving it away for free. I don't believe that it being made available on a tube site means suddenly millions more are going to suddenly have the desire to look for porn on the internet. As we saw a lot of the growth in tubes of the type PH runs came from TGPs and affiliate sites as well as pay sites. Much of it straight from the search engine rankings. I know because I watched it happen to my sites and others.

And its not only free loaders, some people searching for specific stuff like "sex in a taxi" will fall on a Phub search result to faketaxi, see the video, then typein faketaxi.com into their browser and signup.

As for beating a dead horse let us talk now then. Unless I misunderstand or my math is off he admitted he basically makes $1 revenue per about 1,000 views on PH (actually less but I'm rounding up a bit).
That means it takes 30,000 Pornhub views for him to make $30 in revenue. Assuming about $45 per average sale revenue then that means it takes him about 45,000 PH views to make a sale.
Now I have to give him credit. He runs a better operation than most and probably does better. So where does that leave the smaller player with a paysite out there?
I can show you posts in the past where I suggested that it was about 1 sale for 30,000 views on a tube. Give me credit for being HONEST and not like a lot of the jackasses here who try to tell people that 30,000 tube views is going to make them 10 sales on average. At least I gave it straight. And kudos to Ruseful for sharing his real numbers too.
