Haven't had a problem, but I just use it for parking sites that aren't important to me.

Hostgator is a joke and there is no reason to use it, even if you are looking for a cheap virtual account, there are much better options like Hawkhost etc.

                  HostGator, et.al scammers

HostGator, JustHost and dozens more are now owned by Endurance_International_Group

                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endura...national_Group

I have a domain with JustHost, which holds a lot of email accounts and they also are where my other dozen websites are add-ons. 2 of which are Wordpress sites. For 4+ years never a problem. I liked the ease of use.

Suddenly I’m getting emails from JustHost stating my websites are frozen from unauthorized people trying to login with incorrect passwords. Hell, I’ve done that, either fat-fingering or drunk. They never froze me. Also they claim my sites now contain malware. But won’t tell me what sites, or what are the problems.

However, JustHost referred me to SiteLock, who for $15 per domain, per month, will scan and report the problems. They also indicated once a problem was found, there will be additional work & costs to correct the problem.

Excuse me, If JustHost found the problem, why can’t they tell me the problem & fix it? Why do I need to go to SiteLock?
This whole thing reeks of scam, a simple Goole search finds hundreds of others with the same problem.

I found a new ISP for less money, that will scan any of my sites, for free upon request or $1.75 per month for constant monitoring.

In my experience dedicated vacares = #1, followed by hostgator, then hawk. Hawk couldn't let me stream a video properly on a trafficless wordpress installation.
