This has now become a farce, with the news that the father of the dead three-year-old infant, Aylan Kurdi, is named as the pilot of the boat that sank, and was due to get a cut of the people smuggling payment. That dilutes the sympathy anyone should have for that person. If anything, he should be charged with murdering his family.

I applaud Hungary closing its border with Serbia today, saying those wanting to cross have to register in that country they are in, that they have reached safety and should settle there. It's all very well Merkel saying she will take them all, 800,000 of them, and starting this sudden mass exodus from so many countries, whether they are refugees or not, because Germany want to hand-pick those because of their ageing population, the crisis they face soon of not enough future tax payers in the country. Instead of making out Germany are the saviours in this crisis, they should have come clean and told them they only want the young men and women who can work and fit in with their plans. What she said has multiplied the problem to eppic proportions and can now never be undone.

I've read some comments on spiegel or welt (cant remember) and those guys weren't happy about the whole influx.. of course those were readers of only one newspapers, hard to tell whats the general opinion on this..

At this point, I cannot blame them for being pissed. While I don't suggest or recommend they take any violent action, I can see why they would. Empathy, not sympathy.

Germany and a few others said "hey guys, come on over." If you were them, why would you not take that as a sign? You pack up, get your family ready, maybe just you and your buddies or brothers and you start your journey. You get halfway there and are told "hey wait a minute, I know we told you to come and I know that you risked your life because of it, but now you need to either sit and wait in that field or you need to risk your life again and go home. Sorry guys!"

Leaders fell under pressure from the sentimental voters, made terrible decisions, and now the fallout is going to be much, much worse than it would have been if the migrants were told no from the get-go.

No clue what Serbia is going to do with all of these people that Hungary is not letting through. Think of all of the people that are still on the way that may not know about the closed crossings.
