100% agree. She actually isn't doing anything all that crazy and even though we say *oh she's batshit crazy*, she really is very calculated in everything she does. She knows the attention she draws and is extremely grounded for someone with her fame.

Going back to what I originally said in this thread, the way she handled Nicky Minaj spoke volumes about the type of person Miley is! She did not miss a beat and smacked Minaj down and didn't allow her to drag her down into some bullshit cat fight which is exactly what Minaj wanted.

Ok I *hate* the fact that I PVR'ed the MTV Video awards, but at least I skipped through most of it while watching it.

Anyway, I thought Miley looked great. She was a perfect host for the MTV Awards show. She was funny and energetic and crazy and over the top, all at the same time.

Was the Nikki Manaj vs Miley thing staged? Maybe, but it looked real. If it was, Miley did a perfect job handling it and keeping the whole show on track.

I skipped over all of Kanye West's stupid rant. How long did that guy talk for, 20 minutes? The show execs must have been freaking out thinking about all the ad revenue they were losing while he went on and on and on.

All the acts were good. Production value was off the charts. Typical good show from MTV.

But people grow up.

I mentioned Keith Richards earlier...if you look at footage of The Rolling Stones in the early 1960's...their entire fan base was young teenage girls too.
Same with The Beatles or Elvis or even a young Frank Sinatra.

People grow up. Her "young" fans are all her age or older now. They aren't little kids.
And they wouldn't like her anymore as "Hannah Montana".

She's smart to act her age. And the money she is making proves it.
