That's not Pornhub, it's a Pornhub affiliate trying to make money from referral spam.

Report the domain to HubTraffic.com

It's just a referral spammer leveraging their referral spam to get hits to their HubTraffic account.

If you feel the need to deal with it, report the domain to HubTraffic.

Report the domains to HubTraffic.

Set up a filter on your Google Analytics profile using this method:

https://moz.com/blog/stop-ghost-spam...ith-one-filter

or start abandoning Google Analytics for an option that's not so easily exploited by referral spammers.

Thank you, AK. Going to check that. I want to set something up that tells Google these are scammy fucks and should be de-indexed.

It's important for you to understand what's going on here.

Nobody is visiting your site, there are no links to your site from the site being displayed as a referrer.

The way this works is that someone runs scripts which randomly hit GA ids with fake referral information. They don't know who you are or what your site is, all they are interested in is getting clicks from people checking out where this referral came from.

There's not even an actual visit to your site, simply a script on a machine somewhere (usually infected a bunch of infected pc's) which triggers a Google analytics referral. It's exploiting a fundamental flaw in Google Analytics where GA doesn't care where the GA JS is fired from.

So to recap, nobody is visiting your site, the people doing this aren't relying on being indexed in Google, they are just collecting clicks from people like you wondering where these fake referrals come from.

You misunderstand.

I am not clicking on any links.
I am putting keywords into Google search URL. Looking to see where some of our sites are at. Doing it in different browsers and from different IPs.

My sites show up, in the serp and so do all of these bogus sites. Usually they are using our domain name in a domain.com/my-domain-name.html type of link. Much of the time they link to a irrelevant tube or scraping search site. It would be nice to not have to compete against bogus sites for serps based on our domain or keyword domain.

That's keyword stuffing and scraping, different to what the OP is seeing.

He used my link as the title. Then some other sites decided to do the same. His post ranked for about a week then after that he fell off the search and my post is on first page google.

search roxanne rae bdsm bondage you will see what i mean.

That's a blackhat technique to get traffic from type ins of your domain where people enter your domain into the Google search form rather than in their browser bar.

Mostly this is done on a highly automated basis and often ends up in a manual penalty.

Yes, so what's happening here is that he is hoping to pick up your search traffic using a blackout technique, it's spammy and he may or may not get picked up by Google - but he probably doesn't care because the guys that do this churn and burn domains and rinse and repeat this process many times over.

But that has nothing to do with the ghost referrals you see in GA. To understand and mitigate those read this:

https://moz.com/blog/stop-ghost-spam...ith-one-filter

A traffic counter won't give you analytics.

Many people choose Piwik because it handles referral spam better, but implementing it is not trivial and you need a reasonable server to run it on if you're dealing with significant traffic.

1. It's inaccurate. I've tried it back to back with GA, Piwik and our own internal analytics engine. It tracks non human visitors even if they don't use Javascript.

2. It leaves a big footprint for Google if you're wanting to separate properties.

3. It has downtime from time to time, there seems to be little redundancy.

there's 3 to start with.

These are non issues.

1. even if true, how many non human visitors you get? less than a k
2. get separate trackers for separate properties (GA is even worse at leaving footprints or exposing your tactics. basically google spyware installed willingly.)
3. haven't noticed

The tracker benefits WAAY outweigh the possible problems.

These are a list a spammers that i found and reported.I reported to google and their affiliates with their ids.

They are so stupid as i am an affiliate also with some of these companies so i just login and give them the zone ids that are on page source and accounts will be banned spammers and you will pay we are watching.

Anybody else want to post go right ahead these fuckers have been abusing it for a while now and it has gone to far.Everyone post spammers that are doing this to your sites so everyone and affiliates can see where the scum is.

But there is something i noticed and i want everyone to know this and check themselves on their sites.

After this incident in looking in my server files and noticed the theme folder permissions was set to 777.That folder is set permissions 755.And i have a seperate theme in a folder just for mobile end of site and its permissions were 755.

So something in this script that was used for scraping changes permission or something.

Another thing is since wordpress 4.2 they released some extra js thats in the head emoji.js and an emoji.min.js.I think these files have something to do with DOM.And i think there is a big hole here and you can remove these files.

Someone know something about this?
