    News Arizona man killed in bee attack

    VALLE VISTA, Ariz. ? A man who was stung hundreds of times in a bee attack in western Arizona has died.

    The Mohave County Sheriff's Office confirmed Friday that the man died Sunday at a hospital in Kingman.

    Authorities say the man was collecting honey in Valle Vista, a community about 14 miles northeast of Kingman, when he was attacked by a swarm of Africanized bees.

    He was stung between 500 and 1,000 times.

                  It's terrible that someone died like this... but then again, i feel society is owed it after the after all the bullshit from the late 70's and 80's about "killer" Africanized bees eventually migrating to the USA and killing everyone. There were even a few horror movies about these scenarios. Decades later, we've finally have a dead body. Maybe they are just building momentum and are careful, long term thinkers.

                                                                                          Sad to hear that, because you have some serious allergy on wasp venom. Those are not as dangerous as bees to humans. Wasp venom is made to kill other insects (they are predators) while bee's venom targets mammals only because those is the main threat to their hives.

                                                                                          BTW, how much did you pay for ambulance, treatment and rehabilitation?

                                                                                              You are right - I have been proven to be highly allergic to wasp venom (same venom as the local viper here in Norway) - I now have to have an EPI shot with me at all times, which is impossible in my mind, and I am being checked out to see if a vaccination program could benefit me. I prefer the latter, although it takes a couple years to take effect (many shots).

                                                                                              As for cost for TWO ambulances, treatment, and rehabilitation - ZERO. Welcome to Norway and free medical treatment for all. ;-)
