Some of the countries on the list didn't even know they were supporters of Bush's war until they saw the list.
For example, Columbia had previously issued a statement saying they were against "the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. " This is all Powell needed to add them to the list. They have refused to implicitly say they support the war even after the list was released, nor do they plan to offer any actual support.
The list was put together by the U.S. without actually making sure that some of the countries support the war. How's that for dishonesty from the White House?Comment

Or maybe it's the fact that some countries were too chicken shit to admit to their people that they actually did originally place their consent to back us, so they turned around at the last minute and said "hey, we never agreed to that".Originally posted by Mr.Fiction

If you just make stuff up, then everything is just what you choose to believe. Maybe airplanes fly because of magic?
The government of Columbia said that they didn't agree to be on the list and that they have not issued any statement in support of the war.
That's a fact.

So America is the only country in the world that can "make shit up"? How do you know for an absolute FACT that Columbia didn't privately agree to support America and then turned around later and said they don't? You're believing the Columbian government without hearing what our government has to say about that.
PS: By the way, in case you didn't notice, my post began with the word MAYBE, therefor indicating the possibility and opinion of the words to follow, obviously not FACT.Last edited by Gman.357; 03-19-2003, 05:24 AM.
