US may attack BEFORE ultimatum has passed

ASHINGTON, March 18 ? The White House said today that Saddam Hussein was making his "final mistake" by rejecting an ultimatum ordering him to leave Iraq or face war.

Administration officials said President Bush was meeting today with military advisers on the details of an attack that might come at any time.

Although Mr. Bush has given Mr. Hussein until 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday to leave Iraq or face war, Pentagon officials said the wording of the president's warning on Monday was intended to leave open the option of military action before then in the event that Mr. Hussein rejected the deadline.

I got this fromthe New York Times.

We already have all the special forces units deep inside Iraq. So technically we've already started though not officially.

Of course it is.

It's always been about the oil.

In his speech the other night Bush was so worried about what Saddam might do to the oil wells! I wonder why? Duh....

Are you really that naive?

[ Chorus ]
Well, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
I said baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
Yes, you are left out, yes, you are
I said you're left out of there without a doubt
'cause baby, baby, baby, you're out of time

I keep thinking Bush will get up on a podium and start singing this oldie.

It's about removing a maniacal, psychopathic killer and dictator from power because he has been snubbing his nose at the UN authority for 12 years, by developing weapons of mass destruction and refusing to cease said production. As well as threatening 'the west' and countries that neighbor Iraq with biological attacks.

1. When did he threaten the west with biological attacks?
2. Where are these weapons of 'mass destruction'? Evidence please?
3. What weapons of 'mass destruction' has he been producing? Evidence please?
4. Since when do you care about UN authority?

Face it, it's about oil.

1. Numerous times.
2. We have satellite pictures of him moving things from buildings that the UN Weapons inspectors were to be inspecting just before their arrival. Again, numerous times.
3. Biological weapons, as well as long range missiles, and probably nukes.
4. I personally don't believe the UN has any true authority, but that doesn't mean he wasn't saying fuck all to the UN.

I don't have a link by hand because this stuff happened a few years ago as i can recall..... you can't say you never heard of Sadam dropping nuke bombs and musturdgass into those towns where the kurds live don't you? They showed the pictures and footage only a few days ago on CNN because one of the attacks that killed 5.000 people had his 10'th year aniversary or something... if someone remembers it please correct me, i might be wrong on the dates here.

Dude, even France admits Saddam has WMDs and is a brutal raping, murdering, toruting bastard. They just claimed the inspections were working which is obviously not the case.

<font size="1">'Iraq is perhaps the most well known country which both exports terrorism and murders its own citizens. In March 1988 Sadaam Hussein launched a chemical warfare attack against the town of Halabja in northern Iraq. Mustard gas and nerve gases were deployed. Between 5,000 and 12,000 Iraqi Kurds were killed immediately, and an estimated minimum of 40,000 were injured. His brutality against the Kurds, the Iranians and the Kuwaitis have earned him the Arabic title 'the butcher of Baghdad'. Sadaam has stirred up riots across the Muslim world by his declarations that he is leading a jihad against the forces of the godless West and of Israel. His drive to obtain non-conventional weapons (atomic, biological and chemical) coupled with his cruel invasion of Kuwait, triggered the Gulf War of 1991. Sadaam was one of the few world leaders who publicly applauded the recent attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon.'

'Saddam should have been removed when he gases the Kurds in the north. That was very inhuman and unacceptable. Why did the world wait for so long after that?

Yes, I am aware of this. Very nasty.

Where were the forces of good in 1988 I wonder?

Looking the other way...

Put it this way, Joe Sixpack... There are many facts about me that are undeniably true, however with no link on the internet stating these facts, by your logic they would be untrue. That simply does not make sense.

Dude, just because a website published their opinion of facts as they see them, DOES NOT MAKE IT TRUE. Progoganda and opinion. Besides, you said "News Agency" I've never heard of ratical.org, a typo for radical. wtf?!
So you read it then? What part do you disagree with and why?

I'm still waiting for proof of your claims.

<font size="1">'These pictures are said to have been taken in the aftermath of Saddam's attack using chemical weapons and cluster bombs on the Kurdish city of Halabja (population estimated at 70,000) on March 17, 1988. Halabja is located about 150 miles northeast of Baghdad and 8-10 miles from the Iranian border. The attack, said to have involved mustard gas, nerve agent and possibly cyanide, killed an estimated 5,000 of the town's inhabitants. The attack on Halabja took place amidst the infamous al-Anfal campaign, in which Saddam brutally repressed yet another of the Kurdish revolts during the Iran-Iraq war. Saddam is also said to have used chemical weapons in attacking up to 24 villages in Kurdish areas in April 1987.'
