    Anyone been to Madrid?

    Hey

    Has anyone been to, or live in Madrid? Ive been asked to tag a long with a friend and wondered if anyone has any suggestions of things to do? Good bars, restaurants etc?

      Make sure to take a dictionary, we've been to 2 restaurants, but nobody could speak English..

          I was recently but can not remember any names. Its anyway a very good city, be only aware that gettting food that is not breakfast is nearly impossible to get before 2 pm

                          Because if you are working in the service industry which wants foreigners money too, then its usual handy to speak at least German or English, but the places we visited knew neither of those

                                  Most Spanish people under 40 have some English, but most bars and restaurants nowadays are staffed by underpaid south american immigrants who aren't likely to have much English.

                                              Madrid isn't really the tourist destination. Barcelona has a plenty of english spoken, more English here then paris
