First of all, Trump never said McCain wasn't a war hero. He said he wasn't a hero. There is a difference. We use the term "hero" way too often these days. A hero is someone that goes above and beyond what is expected at great peril to themselves. The first responders on 9/11 were heroes. They rushed up into the WTC while people were rushing out. That is over and above. There are inherent risks associated with being in the military...things that they face everyday during wartime. One of those risks is capture by the enemy. Being a POW does not make someone a hero. Being a POW, being tortured and refusing to collaborate with the enemy ---- THAT makes you a hero. McCain, on the other hand, did collaborate with the North Vietnamese. All members of our military, including those who were POWs deserve our gratitude for their sacrifice and service to their country. But a hero is something extra special.

I did not hear Trump once say that McCain didn't serve honorably. I didn't hear him belittle his service. What I did hear was McCain insulting Americans by calling them crazies. What I did hear was Trump calling McCain out on his failure to protect our veterans. What I did hear was Trump calling McCain out on his failure to secure our border and protect Americans.

What has the political elite and media outlets nearly having a stroke is that Trump is not reacting to their ridicule of him like others that they have smeared in the past. He is not bowing down to the PC police. He is not going to play the game of the namby pamby politicians. I think it is great that Trump released the cell phone number of Graham...what did Graham expect would happen when he publicly called him a jackass? Anyone who knows anything about Trump knows that he goes tit for tat with those who challenge or insult him. Keep stirring the pot Donald...can't wait to see the veins pop out on the foreheads of most of your fellow debaters."

Not being American, I have no actual say in who becomes President, but it will affect the rest of the world. Anyone who defends and supports the two wars started after 9/11 has no place leading the most powerful nation on earth.

Neither McCain nor Trump should be running the country but if you have to choose between a good business mind or a warmonger, the choice should be relatively simple.

Here's hoping that Bernie make some bigger waves, but we all know it's an unlikely scenario. At least the drama Trump bring on board is relatively entertaining.

I actually went to Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k1ajHAeXMU) and listened to what he said, which is: "He?s a war hero ?cause he was captured. I like people that weren?t captured", "and I believe he is perhaps a war hero."

When you watch the entire speech and put in the context of the ad hominem attacks prevalent in politics then it is pretty much a non event.

As well the various comments attributed to him about Mexicans are wildly out of context. I don't think I have seen anyone misrepresented by the media as much as Trump has been.

I can't believe it myself, but I would seriously consider voting for this guy, especially considering the alternatives.
