Is it time for GFY to unlock the doors again?

The verified registrations keep all of the new blood off the forums. I know that newbies and surfers were vilified here but they are the ones that spent money on content and other services, asked hundreds of business questions and pumped cash around while learning how to webmaster.

Just a thought.

I think the verification is needed but last I checked you have to register, then find some admin contact info to request the verification. At least that's what I seem to recall from my own registration and a few webmaster wannabe's I've recommended this board to seem to have encountered the same.

Actually GFY is a pretty strong forum in the age of Facebook and other social media.

Not many true forums (that aren't just pirate links to stolen content) are left on the net that have active members and traffic.

You can post up Alexa screenshots all day long. But most forums would kill to have what GFY has going in terms of relevancy, members, and traffic.

Considering that noobs are routinely bashed the same as those who try and help them, not sure what good it would do. It sounds like little more than an act of desperation. The reason you have to take the extra steps is because of the trolls and them having 20 nicks to bash long established people in the industry. Not much of an incentive to open up any flood gates.

I registered about a year ago and I don't remember contacting admin whatsoever. You register and admin verifies it, isn't that the case at least usually if there is verification required?

Yeah real strong considering most posts here either contain ugly ass pictures of new porn models or news articles that can be found on any news site. They owners of gfy really have a gem here.
