    My very first check was from Adult Check. I had setup a site with some smut, protected it with adult check, submitted it to search engines ("infoseek") and was floored when I received my first check.

Sold those in local pub for about 50% mark up I think, then later found a guy who I could get empty vhs tapes with just the leaders... take apart the adult vhs tapes where the gap between the 2 films was, split them and swap the spools (1 full for 1 leader) then sold them at 100% mark up. That was around 1994 when I was 22 years old.

                                                                                                                                              Online was 2003, I'd learned basic html and was dicking around with galleries and posting them on a couple of forums. The owner of the content saw them and contacted me telling me a) those were his copyrighted images b) here's how to add some code to my program if you go sign up.

                                                                                                                                              Few weeks later got a ccbill check for about 90 bucks, and started taking a closer look at this whole online adult thing, and those geeky looking 'webmasters' links I'd been seeing on porn sites :D
