sturgeons get fucking big as shit. My uncle before he died had one of the largest Sturgan farms in the U.S. He was raising one of the endangered Russian breeds but they were very big even for fish in captivity..

Think about it this way.. You are driving down the road in a convertible car doing 35mph and a 50lb fish hits you in the face.. It's gonna leave a mark.. Might even knock you out, so a small child could easily be killed by the same impact.

The only fish I've seen in fresh water which can come close to the size of Sturgeons is Gar. I was kayaking last year in some of the canals around New Orleans and the gar were freaking massive there. You could see them on the surface in front of you and they wouldnt even get out of the way until you bumped them.

They have what is called the alligator gar there..

I've had some dolphins and manatees come right up to the boat in FL but luckily none of those flying bitches.
