                  The first one (Magic Mike, 2012) wasn't bad. I was expecting it to be just pure fluff but director Steven Soderbergh makes interesting movies and he brought the same style to Magic Mike.

                  Magic Mike XXL on the other hand is directed by Gregory Jacobs, who was assistant director on Oceans 11, 12, 13 and Contagion. Maybe he will borrow from Soderbergh or maybe he did his own thing, who knows. I'll be waiting for XXL to come to TV though unless I hear some good reviews or unless wifey drags me out to see it.

                                                          I enjoyed the 2nd movie, as long as you go in not expecting a grand sweeping epic. The acting and chemistry is about as clunky as the first one, but overall, I'd definitely say this is a fun girl's night out movie. We got a lot more of Big Dick Richie - with one or two nods to him being on True Blood. And I've never wanted Cheeto's so much in my life.



                                                          Who knew Michael Strahan had those moves in him? And that Jada Pinkett Smith was that awesome?
