    Do you pay for ad-free YouTube ??

    The 5sec skip ads are fine but it's those 30-40sec ads which can't be skipped that are getting more and more annoying.

    Wondering who from here goes ad-free ??

      Just a way for Google to not have to give a cut to people uploading videos and making AdSense money..

                      They should just keep the ads down to about 5 seconds. I can live with those and if they do it right, I might click through and buy something. But stupid 30 second ads are annoying as hell. If I can't skip them I just mute the sound.

                              Agreed. I don't mind a quick blurb, but don't go on and on about Febreze! argh!

                              I wonder, can a sound-mute action be detected from a browser? From an analytics point of view?

                                      Only shit I got on youtube is concert footage and due to copyright claims they put their ads on them. Just the banners though that you can close, haven't seen any video ads on mine.
