When you stay in a nice hotel....

Think of it like attending a webmaster show - Just for being there you go away with a bag of goodies - Pens, USB Drives, Tee Shirts etc, all with company names on them, all with logos etc, in the hope that by taking them with you, they will remind you to use the sponsors in the future.

Well when I attend a luxury hotel, I go away with a suitcase of towels, dressing gowns, coat hangers and slippers etc, all branded with logos, that will remind me to use them again in the future.

As far as I can see, the only difference is that while the webmaster swag is completely free, the hotel swag has already been paid for, as they factor it into the room anyway. Like when they insist the room comes with breakfast, but you dont want the breakfast and dont eat it. You have still paid for it.

So if you dont fill your suitcase full of hotel swag, you are simply leaving money on the table...
