That, admittedly...was a fuck-up situation at the time. I saw the footage from two different camera angles - the shooting was unjustified and uncalled for. The cop should've been charged and his wage suspended. But under union rules they're required to continue paying him to babysit a desk and push a pencil.Comment

nobody likes to be associated with bad stuff, and lots of people can't separate A from B.
So, (and bear in mind I've not that long been awake, plus my normal too-lazy-to-perfect-my-board-posts-demeanour)..
1. gfy members say 'you' as in 'your country', other gfy members read 'you' as 'you, whom are directly responsible and associated with things that in reality have no control over
2. this creates an 'us versus them' mentality - non-americans know jack shit about the US (guns, culture, dangers, etc)

Ship 100 bad cops to federal prison and put them into the general population. Only then, will these, relatively few, bad apple cops think twice before they shoot. If the shoe fits wear it.Comment

A retired Baltimore cop is blowing the whistle on police brutality and misconduct he allegedly witnessed during his decade on the force.
Former Sgt. Michael A. Wood Jr. listed his disturbing allegations in a Twitter firestorm Wednesday but stopped short of naming names or providing dates and locations.
"So here we go," the ex-detective and U.S. Marine, 35, wrote to his thousands of followers. "I'm going to start Tweeting the things I've seen & participated in, in policing that is corrupt, intentional or not."
The claims read like a blotter.
"A detective slapping a completely innocent female in the face for bumping into him, coming out of a corner chicken store," he said in his first example.
"Punting a handcuffed, face down, suspect in the face, after a foot chase. My handcuffs, not my boot or suspect," the officer who served from 2003 until an injury forced his retirement January 2014 said in his second.
A third tweet claimed fellow officers would turn video cameras away from any action as soon as a suspect was close to being caught.
"Pissing and sh---ing inside suspects homes during raids, on their beds and clothes," he claimed in one tweet that quickly racked up more than 880 re-tweets.
Wood claimed he also had knowledge of officers lying in court and "jacking up and illegally searching thousands of people with no legal justification."
He said he didn't remember "any particular person" who was searched illegally because it happened every day.

I guess if you are a potential or imaginary threat you can be shot and killed by the police legally.
The sensible thing to do was to say "drop the towel and show me your hand" to determine if there was a real threat -- he shot first apparently. No, I didn't read the article usually these first accounts are not entirely accurate. But that would decide if the cop walks or gets the firing squad if I was the Judge. Then they become cops just to have jobs and either don't know what they're doing or mad at the world that they didn't go any farther in life like everyone else they know and that rage builds inside them until power trips happen..
