          Nice, an article full of nothing but the opinion of the author drawn from data from the last 130 years.

          I guess the climate has never changed, ever until 1880 and never did in the last 1000, 10,000, 100,000, 1,000,000, 10,000,000 years. Won't the dinosaurs be relieved and the glaciers be confused.

                  So a chart showing us the average temp for the past 180 years proves... What? That it got hotter in the past two hundred years.

                  We are currently in an ice age. The temps mankind has been used to for the past two thousand years is changing, and going back to normal. It's going to get hot.

                  I doubt there is anything we can do about it.

                                                              The Earth's average distance is not changing. However the North and South Hemisphere's get warmer or cooler based on the Earth's tilt on its axis and which part is facing the sun. Earth's Tilt Is the Reason for the Seasons! - Windows to the Universe

                                                              CO2 is one of a few greenhouse gasses. Too much of these gasses trap heat, warming the planet up. CO2 is absorbed by trees and planets. Deforestation is reducing the number of trees on the planet that can absorb C02. So burning or cutting down the forests means we affect the planets ability to stay cool.

                                                                  So, just like I wouldn't claim to know more about treating cancer then the world's top cancer researchers just because I've read a few articles on the web, I also won't claim to know more about climate change then the world's top climate scientists.
