I know you said you are an insulin dependent diabetic and I was wondering if you can answer something for me.

If you were to portion out your food for the day, say 3000 calories, a healthy mix of fats/complex carbs and proteins, and eat it all in one sitting, would you need to use more, less or roughly the same amount of insulin that you would use if you spaced it out in to 4 or 5 meals?

it would be the same amount. the insulin dose is based on a sliding scale of carbohydrates. so when i fire up, i figure out how many carbs are in the meal and dose accordingly.
