"Pornhub pays us for the views on the video regardless of clicks, which I suppose is paid for by the ads around the video.

This gets little light bulbs going off everywhere. This can get people to upload their homemade porn to Pornhub, which is what they need, more content that Mind Geek can control.

Or maybe I am just a crazy conspiracy guy. I wish I could figure out how to create a buzz like this on just being an affiliate.

Would be kind of funny if pornhub got flooded with "tribute" videos. Thousands of keywords that bring you to a video of a guy jacking off to a video.

To be honest, this is a well known and common practice for the Hub. It's a great way to continuously get free content uploaded daily for amateur scenes. Think about it, they only have to pay based on the performance of the video/profile. That being said, the user is going to do most of the promoting themselves, shoot, upload, promote.... What does Pornhub have to do other than keep that user actively making & uploading content.

It's not like they're paying TONS of cash either, it's based on a percentage of what the video grosses. That being said, the sheer volume of traffic they do doesn't mean that each video is converting like crazy.. BUT .. if the ads get clicked, there's a ton of signups or what have you, bam.. currency is exchanged.

It's not a new program but if you've got the funds, it's a great way to incentify people to upload content that's for sure.
