2016 - The Year VR Goes Mainstream

Hey everyone,

So it seems 2016 is going to be the year that all three major VR headsets will be released. I was wondering what sort of programs or software is in the works to take advantage of this awesome tech. For all of time, one of the first things everyone thinks of with VR is VR sex, and it's like right around the corner! Awesome!

The headsets are the Oculus Rift, Project Morpheus, and Steam's HTC Vive. Plus possibly some cheap knock offs may also release, you never know.

Oculus has officially announced that it will not block porn / adult entertainment. I am not actually sure how it could, from what I know of the device it is just like a new type of monitor / audio output, and monitors don't block adult content, lol. Either way, they announced that and it was in all mainstream news. The message is out, and the other headset makers will probably be similar in order to compete.

Sales should be high on whatever is for sale, as it will all be new and not pirate, or not able to be pirated in some cases such as online games. I am wondering what's coming, who's working on what and where do people sign up to promote it?

I am mostly interested in rev share with something like a VR Free to Play pay model online sex community with microtransactions. Imagine something similar to the sims but in VR 1st person where you can go out, meet up with others, do fun VR sex stuff etc.

Anyways, just wanted to put this out there and see what people say, and see if anyone knows about any programs or whatever that are on their way.

2016 - The year you walked in on someone jacking off with a VR headset on and that person had no idea you were even in the room.

I presume it would also have apps.

But it will know that if it bans porn, other cheaper copies will allow aps and take over the market.

That's true. Either way, Oculus (The biggest one) said it's all good already.

in 2016, that's when the commercial releases for the public are. Their are dev kits already available.

Also, this is going to be a totally new type of thing. Because it will be interactive, people will be wanted to experience it for themselves vs watching it free, which means more people will be buying memberships, or microtransactions within, etc etc.

Also I thought of something. What happens when people are jerking off with the VR headset on and they are about to cum. Do they frantically rip off the headset, or fire blind? lol ;)

Probably should see virtualrealporn .com to see the other half.
While being a big fan of oculus, they did manage to steal there way to the top by taking all the high level employees from Valve that had been working on this for many years before oculus was ever thought of. Their product (vive) will be out in November 2015.

In any case, it is true that 2016 will be the year VR started but it has a long travel ahead as more uses are contemplated every day.

Can't wait to watch a movies, concert & sports in VR.
The developer units I have been testing still don't have the high res that is going into the consumer product but is still a thrill.

For starters, Google Cardboard is great! We ordered one for each one of us here at ClickPapa HQ this week after the guys tried mine ;) Perfect for getting a glimpse of how VR feels these years (make sure you have a phone bigger than an iphone though)

Tried an Oculus VR once, it was an eyestrain but boy was it fun! We even developed some stuff for it in Unity at my past-past company.
