To those armchair quarterbacks saying the cops should always wait until they see a gun.

Ok then, that settles it, cops should be allowed to just gun down members of the public because at some point in time someone had / might have a gun and then may or may not have the impulse to use it to kill a cop.

    Yup fantastic logic there.

How about police stop using lethal force when it is not at all necessary?

How about you join your local police force since you're evidently a fucking expert at deeming what is and isn't necessary.

Canada should make gun ownership illegal. That would solve everything.

If he never saw the gun, how would he have known to draw his gun?

Even if the officer did not see a gun, all the officers already knew the suspect was firing at them from inside the house...so of course it was reasonable for the officers outside the house to draw their weapons.

That's totally different than a cop approaching a person in full view and not seeing a gun anywhere in sight.

He looks slightly retarded. No one has ever said that being a cop is NOT a dangerous job by the very nature (although far from the most dangerous jobs) and while any death (other than dieing of old age) is tragic, each case is different and should not be used to make examples for blanket statements.
