Seriously though, I expect sales will take a hit for the first couple of days of the war. Once the cruise missles start flying we will exprience the CNN effect as people become glued to their tvs.

Sales have been strong with us. However, I'm sure everyone will be glued to their TV sets when it all goes down. I know I was during the gulf war. Just like 9/11, sales will take a dip.

I thought I saw a report where the US Army had made arrangements for news teams to ride with the tanks and go in with the grunts as well.

Perhaps the CNN effect might last a bit longer this time.

I also saw a report a little while ago that spy satellites have picked up a 2 kilometre long pool of oil so it would seem that Saddam is getting ready to torch his oil fields.

Yep sales will dip for a couple of days maybe, and after a couple of weeks no one will care about it anymore. Same thing that happened with afghanistan.
