The journey from Mexico City to Guerrero state in south-western Mexico is particularly stunning at this time of year.

For several hours, you cut through mountains that look greener than usual because of the rainy season.

But the beauty of these hillsides belies the pain in this region.

Guerrero's foothills are home to much of Mexico's illegal poppy and marijuana production, the source of a large part of the violence seen in the state today.

the USA is good a losing a war, don't get me wrong the USA is very good at invading, but what goes on after that is a complete fiasco every fucking time...the USA should learn not to declare war on anything because the exact opposite will happen

the DEA stated that 90% of all crime was directly or in-directly linked to drugs...now a huge bulk of the drug related crimes happen because drugs that cost pennies to produce are worth billions because of the US war on drugs...

the main problem is that the USA, the enforcer of this failed war, will not admit to itself that it likes its 450billion/year drug habit and is just raising the price more and more and rewarding the cartels and the prison system of the USA...

I never said they did not like getting high...but the clusterfuck we have going on in the world is a direct result of the tyrannic USA imposing a "war on drugs" on countries that rely on US printed monopoly money...mexico gets 25.000 dead/year because the USA artificially raises the price of something that costs pennies to produce...
