    for the libs that didn't believe the other poll Robbie posted a week ago

    Donald Trump's support has surged and he is now running nearly even with Democrat Hillary Clinton among likely U.S. voters, a dramatic turnaround since he became the Republican party's presumptive presidential nominee, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday.

                                  Obviously, if Sanders is my guy it makes sense to convince others that Trump is a nimrod. Meanwhile you claim Sanders is your guy but you spend day in and out defending Trump.

                                              Only simpletons confuse my view of taking Trump seriously as support for Trump. Obviously, my view is too nuanced for you to comprehend. They both oppose TPP, favor public works projects, oppose Social Security cuts, want to raise the minimum wage and so on. Of course, they're vastly different on other issues, but the economy is all that most voters really care about anyway.

                                                              The real difference is that Sanders (like Hillary) wouldn't get anything past congress whereas Trump would, if only by publicly humiliating them.

                                                                  If you think Trump coming up with a few funny nicknames for some Senators or Congressmen is going to get them to work with him you have no idea how the political system works.

                                                                  Our current elected officials seem to take one thing into consideration when they make a decision and that is whether or not it will help or hurt their efforts to get re-elected.
