2. i am VERY extremely anti-war and can appreciate and enjoy learning history. i don't have a problem with his shitting his pants instead of being turned into a trained killer in a war that meant nothing, and in fact, was not a worthy war.

My brother and I went to see Ted Nugent in Kansas City Mo about 25 years ago and were mugged! It was near the end of the show and we decided to leave the concert early to avoid the usual parking lot exit mess that often lasts longer than the fucking concert does...

Anyway, this was at the Starlight amphitheater which is an outdoor venue and parking was just basically dirt lots adjacent to the venue. It was dark and we were the only ones walking back...when we were approached by 3 young men...and guess what...they were going to rob us! One had a gun and while we cooperated and handed over our wallets (I think we had a total of around $15 bucks being the poor students that we were at the time), they grabbed them and ran off but then the one with the gun turned around and shot at us hitting my brother!

They were 3 black guys and it is the one time used the "n" word (to someone's face) and yelled out "You "N"ers shot my brother!"

He was shot in the arm and it took months to heal. Went all the way to the bone and fractured it. He recovered but I can tell you that late at night when he's alone he still has panic if there are young black guys approaching him and I do not blame him one bit. After surviving an experience like that it is not racism...and I can tell you he is the least racist person alive...it is simply experience and he (or anyone) would be a fool to pretend like it didn't happen and not learn from it.

Anyway, I always think about that robbery whenever anyone mentions Ted Nugent and of course, this true story seems appropriate for this thread as well.

He is spot fucking on. Everybody wants their iPhones or their Amazon deliveries, but at the same time they think that the Boezos, the Gates, the Zuckerbergs should be forced to make less money by giving it back.

That's not how shit works, it never has and never will. Look at the fucking Rockefellers. They were literally worth like a trillion dollars adjusted for inflation. They drove this country, made jobs. If it wasn't for guys like him, Carnegies etc... this country would have been in a shit ton on nothingness.

Go ahead and attempt to get more free shit because you think you deserve it. We happen to be involved in another industrial revolution which is tech and a lot of people are seeing job losses. It sucks, but it's the reality. You have to adapt or you WILL fail.

If anything else, in the state of things in the US, I see more and more need for blue collar workers. I saw a YouTube video of Mike Rowe speaking to congress about the fact that more and more kids are being told to go to school instead of becoming plumbers, masons and the like.

We LOST that fucking war on every level possible... and we continued to lose until the US PEACE efforts and demonstrations gained enough momentum to get our people the fuck out. And a LOT of those protests were fronted by US soldiers returning from Vietnam!

Loosing was NOT the US Soldiers fault but the fault of the government officials trying to control the military from their offices in Washington while trying to do right by their Corporate sponsors like Shell Oil and DOW Chemicals and others...

Why don't YOU lower YOURSELF off your self righteous right wing propaganda spreading high horse GRAPE and talk to a US VETERAN! THAT'S the folks that ACTUALLY KNOW what the fuck was going on.
