It's the result of people tolerating years of people like brassmonkey and blackmonsters and crew posting endless "white guy bad, black guy good", "cop is always wrong, black guy is always right" type posts. After treyvon Martin, Michael brown and the others in recent history, people are just sick of it and sick of that view where people can act like complete animals and that's ok. Crockett is a very liberal guy and even he is pushing back, that should tell you how bad these guys are.

Ferguson was turned into a war zone because a hardened criminal who just robbed a store attacked a cop and tried to take his gun.... then the media starts using completely quotes from his friend who was a wanted felon to stir up the masses. The Department of Justice report gave a clear account of what happened and it was nothing like what we saw all the "victims" protesting about.

The DOJ report comes out and literally barely makes the news because every news outlet was complicit in stirring up shit and misrepresenting the facts - for sensationalistic headlines.

This shit in my view should be called out every time it comes up and people who are reasonable, civilized and decent citizens who value a civil society should fight for the truth to be heard. Otherwise, all we get is lies, the riots, then the truth comes out and never even gets acknowledged as the nations lowest common denominator moves on to the next big lie.

It's over played and annoying, but just think if you had to deal with it everyday in your day to day life. I don't excuse these idiots whom are looting and rioting, but you would have to live a very sheltered life to not see racism is very present.

Something I saw early on as a teenager kinda stuck with me as an adult. Something as simple as paying for gas.. Back in the day I used to see this happen on a regular basis.

It used to be before gas was $4/gal you could pump your gas then go into the gas station and pay for it. It used to be a normal thing that I'd go fill up my car then go into the store and pay for it with cash. (1990s before debit cards and so on) Meanwhile almost every black person I ever saw trying to pump gas was always required to pay first before they could pump gas.

$3 & $4/gal gas made everyone equal in that regard as now everyone, white or black has to pay first for their gas.

As I say I noticed this early on in my life, so it was something I was always aware of. That's just one little simple thing where racism plays a role in people's lives that no one would likely think twice about it.. Now think if you had that happen to yourself then add in lots of other interactions in your daily life.. It would make you pretty jaded and likely even angry after some time..

Anyway.. I don't excuse when black people or white people act like animals or when they act as if something is owed to them.. However I think it's very niavie when people act as if there aren't any real problems..

Also I don't think the current issues with cops are just a racial issue. I think it's a cop issue but it just happens to affect minorities more often than white people. Now of course many people bring their problems on themselves but there also seems to be a very serious disconnect between many cops actions vs people's rights.
