Comments about Camsite by paid users

I was surfing reddit and there were talking about this documentary:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ6r...has_verified=1

Basically it is a documentary about camgirls and to me the most interesting part were the reason people give to pay for the camshows, I think these comments are pure gold if you are in the cam business here are some of them:

"I've spent at least $100 on cam shows and they're great. There's just something about knowing that a real, hot person somewhere in the world that's performing for you right now. It's also hotter when you can get to know through conversation and then give them orders (or vice versa if that's your thing). Regular porn just isn't the same anymore and I don't see cam shows falling in popularity any time soon."

"Completely agree. There is something about personal attention that people love and will pay for. Also why strip clubs are so popular. I'm a stripper professionally, and my regular clients will pay me to sit and chat with them. People need human interaction, and anyone can pay a pretty girl or a hot guy to talk to them."

"The social aspect. Porn is asocial. Striptese, even only digital, and you can't touch them, it's a form of a social life."

Thanks for confirming that the majority of people agree that when you interact with somebody online, you are actually interacting with somebody.

This is groundbreaking news.

Next up, most people perceive that tomatoes are the color red.

actually its good info, only you saw the obvious and pointed out your ability to see the obvious, when he was actually trying to explain an angle to promoting and not the obvious, that was just mentioned in related context...

Hi Patadeperro,

You are exactly right. This is why cam sites, even small ones, do very well. You can watch porn all you want but there's a certain level of disconnect there because the people in photos and movies are somehow just not real, and any "(fantasy) connection" felt, seems incomplete or fake.

When chatting with a cam model on the other hand, if she or he is good, feels a lot more real. The cam model is addressing the client by name, taking the time to listen to the clients ideas about what really turns him on, and then exploring those ideas together.

When the right "(fantasy) connection" is made, that customer can be a customer for a very long time, and be worth a ton of money to any company or solo model cam site.

That is exactly what I was trying to share, and the part I found the most interesting, because those phases can be used in your ads, banners, etc.... because those are opinions of paid customers, so if your marketing material can "mimic" their real feelings obviously they will be more inclined to buy, but I have realized that many people in the adult industry forget the basic principles of marketing just because the traffic if not that hard to get.

Exactly!!! and if you can "sell" them on that fantasy connection (as you called it) I think you are after a very profitable business

It isn't a form of social life... it's a PAID SERVICE...

Like someone else said... it's sad... because it's not sincere... it's for the money... Would you be happy if you were lonely looking for company and the only way to get it is by paying for it?
I think i would feel even more lonely.... and butt fucked too.... after seeing my credit card...

What you're saying isn't entirely true. I would imagine cam is the same as phone sex and a LOT of what's said and done is sincere. Of course we get paid to do it, it's our job. That doesn't mean we can't have sincere conversations and enjoy them.

I have a close connection with every customer I talk to and most have called me for 5 + years. I get paid because it's my job, I enjoy talking to them, but no, I'm professional and it's my job. They know this, I know this and it's as genuinely personal as it can be.

But would you spend all these hours of talking with them if it wasn't paid?
See... even if you in someway can enjoy some of your conversations... when you
look at the core of why you are having these conversations... it's because you are getting paid. Of course you can say sincere things... but that doesn't mean the whole context is sincere... If a man wants sexual relief and throws some money at a cam girl... fine...
But if you would want to call it a social form... i would say... the context of the fact that it's a paid service, and without payment "no conversation/company, doesn't make it sincere as a social form...

I don't think I would always call it "sad." I have several regular viewers who simply live in areas where there's not a broad variety of social life. One lives on an island off the coast of Wales; his nearest neighbor is 20 miles away. Even when they're not tipping, they're helping to keep the room positive and encouraging others. For many, it beats sitting in a bar. In many ways, it's more intimate.

I have had co-stars who had only performed in video before, and the show is always a failure. It's exactly the opposite approach. They can get distracted or weirded out by the interaction, or approach it as though we're the only ones there and the camera is invisible. I always tell new co-stars, look at the camera as often as possible, smile a lot, answer questions, be fun. The audience should feel like they're in the living room with us, watching us as a couple after meeting us out somewhere. The difference being, I'm going to pound your ass till you squeal while they watch. ...OK, so that's happened once or twice in real life too, but, well...

All social relationships cost either time, money or grief -- or any, or all, of the three.

So, the ideal cam customer finds the money cost cheaper than the time or grief.

How many guys spend $50 or $100 at the bar or club in an hour or two -- spend money and time trying to get some?

There are sick people who will never step into a hospital because it's a paid service with doctors and nurses doing their job for money.

If you are sick you def should visit a hospital.... if you want social company... then a doctor might not be the best choice... it will be a huge bill for talking about tits and beer...

Is it any different than paying to talk to a therapist or counselor?
