    Moldova and EU visa free regime.

    There is a Russian army based in Pridnestrovie but Moldova is now visa free with EU. Explain.

          Pridnestrovie is a breakaway. I have always heard it referred to as Transnistria. It is only recognized by Moldova as a country. It has been that way since a small war/skirmish in 92.

          Very Pro-Russia. Looks like Ukraine will end up divided like this.

                              Moldovan passport holders are able to request a Romanian passport and get it pretty easily.

                              It's easier to travel to EU with a Romanian passport than with a Moldovan passport. But I assume this will no longer be needed now.

                                          How come they did that visa free regime when there a Russian army base stands next?

                                          Asking, cus there is a Summit ( or something ) is coming where the Ukrainian visa free regime is going to be discussed. Do you think Ukraine has a chance?

                                                  no, as the last thing that EU needs these days are the hordes of Ukrainians and Turks...there are already hordes of Poles, Bulgarians,Hungarians, Czechs, Romanians etc. running around....
                                                  its better to build fabrics in Ukraine and enjoy 25 UAH to 1 EUR cheap workforce and all....

                                                              Visa free regime means short term visits with bio passports - not a membership or labor market opening.

                                                                  usually these "short term visits" mean that SOME of the guys will stay there illegally and work for example @ constructions
                                                                  its better to allow SOME of 3 milion people to do that than SOME OF 45 milions people. need to explain it more ?
