Accepting Friends On Tubes: Good Or Bad For Sales?

I've been going around and updating my various profiles on the differant tube sites (Content Partner Programs only) and noticed my channels/profiles get a lot of friend requests. I have been accepting them for years but now I am wondering if this is actually a good thing (for paysite sales) or a terrible thing.

For example, on XHamster I have thousands of friends. Same on a bunch of other tubes. But what's the advantage to accepting all these friendship requests? They get to see the content for free regardless and can certainly search my channels, etc. Now if they could only see my videos by becoming a Friend that would be one thing...

Anyway, just wondering what your thoughts might be. If it's pointless either way (or hurts sales) then why do I spend so much time clicking 'Accept'? LOL

You can block videos on XHamster and make then only viewable to friends.

I see more harm in the concept of "channels" then in "friendships". Ideal would be that a "friend" gets noticed about the new video, without having acces to a complete channel where they can find all videos uploaded...

Ideal would be they would have to search for the rest and at best to "favorite" per video in order for them to find it back.

Anyway... since there are channels... "friendship" is A way to keep connected to them in one way or another...

Maybe. I know you used to be able to contact all your Friends on MySpace. LOL But I would think spamming your online Friends would lead to a lot of EX-Friends.

Yes I see. But allowing only your Friends to see videos limits the views/traffic you can expect to get from tubes. The real question is does having Friends help at all? I'm thinking reject everybody and make the fuckers join my site to see more....

The real benefit to channels is your video gets displayed there faster than on the Homepage. So by the time your video does make it to the Homepage you have a bit of a 'head start' with views and likes, thereby keeping your video on the Homepage longer. That's the Theory anyway. So maybe having a lot of friends (who upvote your videos) DOES help....

Yes of course because it's YOUR channel so ALL YOUR videos are there...

In my logic the chance of someone going to the sponsor's site declines when the amount of videos from that sponsor increases on that tube....

At Xhamster your video Always starts on the homepage then sliding down to following pages because of new updates.... There are only 6 spots on the homepage which are called
"promoted videos" and those are there, if i'm correct, because of high likes, etc... so... competition is allready high there...
