Running a webmaster business in Thailand ?
A friend of mine run an adult webmaster business from his condo but i hear that it's illegal to do this in Thailand and yet i know many people that do it anyway.
How do you protect yourself ? Do Thai authorities monitor all internet users ?

I don't know how other people do it and I have never been in Thailand myself. What I do know though is that you could just as easily have a remote Windows server somewhere and just connect to it via Remote Desktop or programs like Team Viewer.
That way only the screen image and mouse/keyboard strokes are transferred and that is very hard to monitor or intercept from outside.
