Our bounce rate with smtp.com is under 1% normally, so we have a 99% delivery rate.
There are many (debatable) risks with shared ip one of them is being blacklisted if another domain you share with's reputation goes bad. We have never used a shared IP.

We use 3xpromo.com and couldn't be happier.

1. Jman is great to work with, he is always around, delivers what he promises and doesn't promise what he can't deliver (if I wasn't straight I would probably ask him to marry him just for having that trait in this business)

2. We pay another company a cut because they mail well. We produce great content and run pay sites well. Unless you are a large company, you can't do it all well and your going to need to cherry pick somethings to outsource, mailing is a science and a great task to leave to the experts in my opinion.

3. 3xpromo.com understands what sells and they have taken time to understand our brand. If you are still having success as a pay site it is because of your brand, not your whateverDOTwhatever.

4. They are not greedy, they have treated my customers (ex is the same as current in this context) the same way I would treat them. They sent them great offers at a pace that is welcoming and productive for the LONG term.

5. If you use NATS, the integration with them is very useful and simple.

I highly recommend them because they get results and I can confidently check mailing off of my to do list to focus on my super powers.

Anyone using a 3rd party solution must have issues, set it up yourself trough Dyn and you´re good to go. It´s cheap and you make a 100%.

If your doing mailings just for a short time then a 3rd party solution may be better, but if you do it for a living as part of your marketing strategy then consider your own server. We have been doing email marketing since 1998 and have always used our own servers and software with the exception of a couple of times when a server crashed or something and we needed to get the mail out. Its not hard or complicated to do, just stay on top of your list, keep it clean, check some of your bounced for any bans so you can get them removed, use DKIM and SPF, tons more cost effective then a 3rd party solution and you keep your email lists in house..away from others.

Not only sharing but once you give them the list gods only know what they will do with it. How many times a day they will slam the customers etc.

Go with Ynot we use them and have made plenty of sales with it.
