Yea, challenging what a Judge says and forget about the gun he emptied into another human. Attitudes like yours are part of the problem.

He just tried to murder another human and all you can think of is what a Judge states (and he's not wrong) during sentencing.

i agree with you fully.

why bring politics and race into something as horrific as attempted murder? i am very concerned that this sort of.. political grandstanding could put this conviction in jeopardy, and this man back on the streets.

good on you for seeing it, i just saw 'black lives matter' and thought racist.

Yep, it's all over for that guy. I knew it was a white judge as soon as I read the headline. If the judge had been a black woman this wouldn't even be "news."

Seen from the judge's perspective, having watched untold amounts of black-on-black violent crime and murders come through his court, I can completely understand why he's using the phrasing he's using.
