I'm guilty of having said "Nuke em all" myself. That doesn't mean I want to start dropping a nuclear arsenal on everyone.

All I'm saying here is that Joe's "Burn the flag" campaign is useless to accomplish anything other than more "Nuke em all" sentiment.

Would you dispute that?

Joe Sixpack trolls, that is it period.

Gman.357 03-17-2003 05:15 AM

Well, Joe believes strongly in what he's doing. Fine. I can respect that. But he also likes to say that America is full of sheep, and that I personally do not get it.

Meanwhile I explained on page 1 of this thread in detail why I think his protest isn't really a protest, yet he fails to see the logic.

So whatever. Forget rationalization. For every flag he burns, I'll just go back to saying "Nuke EM ALL!" It must be what he really wants hear anyway.

obviously, i was replying to this:

On the contrary, I've never seen one post by anyone who is for this war thirsting for innocent Iraqi civilian blood.
in contrast to this:

saying, 'nuke em all' (for example) by definition infers killing more than military targets. that's all i pointed out (the obvious fallacy).

Don't tell me that the way you were brought up saying a pledge of allegiance and putting your hand over your heart for the national anthem etc hasn't formed your irrational emotional attachment to your flag?

If you were Chinese you'd be rattling off passages from Mao's Little Red Book. :1orglaugh

You are just one of the indoctrinated. Accept it and we can move along.

Your desire to "Nuke 'em all!" just confirms my view.

Well, if you want to get technical, quiet, the statement "Nuke Em All" isn't pointing to anyone specific when taken out of context. The statement in itself can mean anyone... or EVERYONE, including us. Even if you put it in a thread that's talking about Iraq, and someone says, "Nuke em all", doesn't necessarily mean ONLY Iraq. Could mean nuke the planet and get all this bullshit called life over with already. :winkwink:

But that's abstract. Joe consistantly fires up new threads with pictures of burning flags, has at one time had an american flag burning in his sig, etc. Clearly, this is something a little more concrete than a generalized expression of words.

And he claims it's a symbolic protest. Fine. All I'm saying is it's personally offensive, and as far as protests go... weak.

more bullshit. it's plain who you're talking about. but again you're trying to change the subject. getting back to it, you said:

Quote:

On the contrary, I've never seen one post by anyone who is for this war thirsting for innocent Iraqi civilian blood.
then a couple posts later said:

Quote:

I'm guilty of having said "Nuke em all" myself.
wanting to nuke cities, countries, the world, etc (even in jest), and at the same time not wanting to kill innocent civilians - is an inescapable contradiction. that's all i ever commented on. anyway, this is boring.

cheers.

Spare me your psychological evaluation. I think it's clear I don't literally want to nuke em all, quiet.

By the way, saying something in jest, and actually wanting to do it are indeed two different things, not bound by contradiction.

Gman.357 03-17-2003 05:40 AM

I take that back. You're correct. It is contradictory...

Point taken. :glugglug

You know what? I dont give a shit what joe sixpack burns. Lets remember, he is sitting in his own country doing it :1orglaugh He's a fucking NOBODY, to me! its his right!

Some people dont understand what it is to have pride. That is sad, but true. I will be so happy the day that sadam is disarmed and his country set free. The women will no longer fear rape and mutilation. They can uncover their faces without fear of being beaten. The people can have medical treatment and FOOD!
I live in America. I woke up this moring and NO FUCKING body told me what to wear. Tank top, holy boxers, no bra, I walked my happy ass out in my yard and put up the flag. I must admit its a beautiful day, the breeze blowing through the palms and the flag flying high. My daughter playing FREELY, coloring, watching tv. How I hope to see Iraq children doing this same thing in coming days.
Joe sixpack, I invite you to come over, sit by the pool and see these beautiful things I am enjoying today :) Oh look, there goes my rottie, after his favorite ball :) He is so friendly. Oh btw, he hates fire tho. you might keep that in mind :winkwink:

I live in Australia honey.

I have it better than you!

And we don't need to arrogantly fly our flag to prove it to the rest of the world

We just know it. :1orglaugh

If I'm ever in the area I might take you up on your generous offer!

But you can't get much further south than Australia... unless you like the look of Antarctica!

We're the original southerners.

PerfectionGirls 03-17-2003 08:55 AM

Isnt it funny the Joe... in his attempt to slam us for being mindless is excerising one of our rights as Americans. Freedom of speech.

It kills my on how people can site back and slam our counrty on an American companies message board. They exercise rights that americans have, doing and saying things they would be caned or jailed for in there counrty.

I know you hate your life Joe... thats pretty apparent. Get some help man... There are some really good doctors in your counrty I'm sure.

Yes... Joe knows all and has see all. In his 26 years (lol) he has logged many a mile searching for the perfect counrty!
He even married an American girl as a part of his study. lol Th2re is nothing Joe does not know about everything! It does not matter that some of us are twice his age and have logged more miles in a year then he has in a lifetime. lol He is the only true expert on everything.

You are the dumbest, least openminded man I have ever met. You call yourself an artiest and yet you are so close minded. Yeah right....

How old ARE you , Joe? I had judged (when you said you had been married for 9 years) you were in your early thirties but still hadn't lost your "arrogance of youth."

Old man? You don't think one learns from being alive and observing events and people, only crossing borders in Europe? Live another 15 years and you will be surprised how your perceptions change. I know more about being 26 than you do about being 40.

I disagree with everything you speak of and stand for, however, just like the uninformed masses here in the states that have never had to actually do anything to protect their freedom, I respect your right to speak your mind.

One thing you will never know though, is what it actually takes to protect this right. It has nothing to do with flags and emblems but has everything to do with willing to put your life on the line for a belief. You and I both know that you have neither the guts nor the desire to do that.

You will never be more than a keyboard warrior and a second-rate porn wannabe.

Type on, you insignificant little boy.
