    UK Lottery is a joke !!! 5 numbers wins you £15 WTF ?!?!?

    People who matched 5 out of 6 numbers last night got £15


    Lotto ticketholders have branded the game the 'National Robbery' after punters who matched five numbers in the latest draw won less money than those who got three.

    Players took to Twitter to vent their fury after a popular pattern of numbers led to an unprecedented number of people correctly guessing five of the six balls.

    Camelot said more than 4,000 ticketholders achieved the feat, winning £15 each, compared to 7,879 with four numbers who won £51, while the 114,232 people who matched just three balls won £25.

    All the winning balls bar one in last night's draw were multiples of seven - suggesting that the 'lucky number seven' sequence is a popular one and that had the final number been 28 instead of 41 there may well have been thousands of Lotto jackpot winners







    I can imagine people checking their tickets last night, matching the numbers and assuming they had just won a huge sum of money.



    I stopped playing a couple of years ago. It's a joke how it's run by Camelot. Nobody should buy a ticket until it's given to someone else to run. Richard Branson should have been given it when he attempted to take over it a few years ago...

                  Ridiculous and too basic set up of just having prize fund for each number of balls. Must be improved in one way or another to make sure that it would not be even theoretically possible for shit like this.

                          Many people who still play it claim they would give it up but won't because they know the same numbers they selected every week and would be worried they came out when they didn't play. I still know my numbers I used for years aswell, but I simply don't check the results anymore, so I would never know anyway.

                              How the hell is this rigged? First of all nobody won so get over it.
                              How is it hard to understand a bunch of fucks all played 7-14-21-28-35 and 42?
                              I wish it would have been 28 so they would of all gotten a few grand LOL.
                              Now that would have been some funny shit. The rules are the rules and thousands of people played the same numbers. Maybe they will change their numbers now knowing if they ever came up they would be sharing it with tons of others.
                              I bet a lot picked 5-10-15-20-25 and 30 also. Just to be cute.

                                  Wehateporn says rigged, but he does not mean because of this.
                                  This is just bad system setup. You can definitely set it up so that it would not happen even in theory. Needs smarter setup of prize allocation. Basically prize funds for each number of numbers should not be fixed, but rather fluid.
