More power to this guy. He has every right to dictate his medical treatment. He has an incurable and horrible disease and there is very little hope for a conventional cure. I don't think we are even close to being technologically advanced enough in the medical field for this to be successful, but once limb and organ transplants seemed like they were impossible. I just hope that this doctor isn't taking a risk with this guy just to take and risk on someone who is willing to go to an extreme level. Medical advancements and medical miracles are 100% possible but they do take time and require a certain amount of caution.
